Question 1

How fast can you replace a broken hot water system in Coomera?

Accepted Answer

Same-day in almost every case. Coomera Waters, where Properr is based, is a 5 to 10 minute drive from every Coomera and Upper Coomera street, so we can quote on-site within the hour, pick up the new system on the way, and typically have hot water back on the same day. For like-for-like electric or gas storage swaps we usually finish in 2 to 3 hours from arrival. Continuous-flow gas takes a little longer if there's a flue rerun. Call 0405 356 912.

Question 2

My Coomera home has an original electric storage system that's about 12 years old, what do you recommend?

Accepted Answer

You're at the classic Coomera decision point. Most of the first-wave Coomera and Upper Coomera builds are now 12 to 18 years old and hitting end-of-life on the original electric storage systems. Three sensible upgrades: (1) like-for-like electric, cheapest, no changes needed, $1,200 to $2,200; (2) gas continuous flow if you have natural gas at the meter, never runs out, small footprint, $1,900 to $3,400; (3) heat pump, cheapest to run and STC rebate applied at point of sale, $3,500 to $5,500 net. We quote all viable options on the same visit.

Question 3

Do you install heat pump hot water systems in Coomera?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and they suit Coomera's climate very well. The Gold Coast's mild average temperatures mean a heat pump runs efficiently year-round with no auxiliary electric-boost cycles like colder-climate installs. On most Coomera homes we can reuse the existing electric storage plumbing, wiring and pad, which keeps the install straightforward and the STC federal rebate applies at point of sale to reduce your out-of-pocket. Question 4

The tempering valve on my Coomera hot water system is dripping, is that a big job?

Accepted Answer

No, it's one of the most common small jobs we do in Coomera. Tempering valves have a 5 to 7 year service life and their internal seals fail predictably, showing up as a slow drip from the relief line or the valve body itself. Replacement is a same-visit job, usually under an hour, and it's a mandatory safety component so we always fit an AS 3498 compliant valve. Similar story for pressure-limiting valves at the water meter.

Question 5

Do you do hot water systems for the acreage properties west of Coomera?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The acreage lots along the Coomera River and west toward Willow Vale often run on LPG bottle gas rather than natural gas, and sometimes on rainwater tank supply. That changes the install spec, LPG-configured continuous flow units, pressure pumps on the cold feed if tank-supplied, and appropriate relief drain routing on unsealed sites. We're licensed and equipped for the full acreage setup.
